Abstract:

The plastic hinge is the key factor that can effect the stability of the ring rotary forging process and it is essential to study the feature of the plastic hinge.Based on the ABAQUS simulation software,the FE model of ring rotary forging process was established and the stress distribution in the zone of the ring plastic hinge was investigated.The influence mode of ring ratio of height to diameter to the stress distribution in the ring plastic hinge zone was analysed.So the influencing factors and the variation patterns of the establishment and development of the plastic hinge were obtained during ring rotary forging process.That is as high-diameter ratio of ring increases,the location of the plastic hinge shifted along the direction of the rocker's rotation.The above results will promote the stability and development of the ring rotary forging process.
