Abstract:
The core of multi-point forming(MPF) is that the traditional solid stretch die is replaced by discrete multi-point die.This technology realizes the flexible fabrication.The solid die can be replaced by multi-point die in the bend-stretch forming process of aluminum profiled material and these can save the cost and time of die fabrication for products.The idea of the multi-point bend-stretch forming was put forward.By comparing the forming results of solid die and the forming results of multi-point die,it shows that multi-point technology can be applied in the forming of aluminum profiled material.The impresses can appear in the process of multi-point bend-stretch,which can be suppressed by using the elastic-cushion.The shaping accuracy was validated by comparing the target of curve with the outline curve on the formed parts.
