Abstract:

Due to the removing of the classical flywheel, the forming force of servo mechanical presses comes mainly from the instantaneous torque of servo motors. The adoption of high capacity servo motors increases significantly press costs. Accordingly, the innovative design of servo mechanical presses transmissions with preferable force amplifying function becomes one of the key problems. Various transmission plans without flywheel were analyzed, and their characteristics were compared. Their applications on typical servo mechanical presses were introduced. Further developing trends and some problems of servo mechanical presses transmissions were discussed.
