Abstract:

The numerical simulation analysis of hot extrusion forming process of STEYR steering knuckle using three\|dimensional elasto-plastic finite element method was carried out.The relation curves between the load and stroke,the distribution rules of stress,strain and temperature were obtained. Through analyzing and comparing the simulation results,the influence of different processes on knuckle was obtained in setting the major processing parameters, and the rules of metal flowing during the hot extrusion process of knuckle were disclosed. It provides a theoretical basis for the actual production processes.
