Abstract:

Clinch technology is a new joining technology which can join new material of automotive body and reduce body weight. Clinch technology and it's characteristic were introduced systemically. Based on summary of clinch drive equipment, clinch die and clinch nondestructive inspection equipment, the application problem of clinch technology in automotive industry were discussed.The view points are presented that clinch die and punch load selection,the key effecters of clinch joint strength and quality inspection are needed to be improved, which provides a reference for deep study and application of clinch technology.
