Abstract:

Using finite element software MSC.Marc, the stainless steel corrugated plate cold bending forming process was simulated and the cold bending forming finite element model was established. The biting process was analyzed and the biting was realized through the method of the upper roll pressing. The variation of stress and strain of typical nodes was simulated. The stress-history curve and the transversal and longitudinal strain distribution curve of typical nodes were obtained. The results show that the deformation transition zone exists between the two frames, and in where the plate has both elastic recovery and plastic deformation. Near the position of roll, the stress reaches the maximum, which is the main reason of the appearing defects.
