Abstract:

Modal analysis of the wire wound frame for 40 MN multi-cored hydraulic press was performed by using the ABAQUS 6.8 finite element code, and then the first ten order natural frequencies and corresponding mode shapes were obtained. The influence of various mode shapes on the performances of the hydraulic press was discussed. Moreover, the effect of the pre-stressed factor on the frame natural frequencies was studied. The results show that the distribution of the integral rigidity and mass is reasonable and the minimum natural frequency of the frame is 16.3 Hz, furthermore, the pre-stress effect improves the frame natural frequencies slightly, about 7%. It provides a reference for the dynamic structural design and optimization of the hydraulic press.
