Abstract:

In order to improve the quality of synchronizer ring and production efficiency, using the modern combined technology of CNC engraving and EDM, the precision forging die was improved. The die structure was changed from the integrated type into inserted one. The punch was changed from splitting type into integrated type. A number of EDM electrodes were used instead of two electrodes. The punch was manufactured by the engraving process instead of EDM. The processed product quality and production efficiency were improved. This provides the reliable reference for the precision forging technology application in manufacturing the synchronizer ring.
