Abstract:

The stamping technological process of the automobile engine cover was determined based on the analysis on its structure and technological characteristic. And the trimming and flanging technology was stated especially. At the same time, the design points of the die structure for the automobile body panel were stated. The components of the stamping,trimming and flanging die was designed using CATIA. They were assembled and the three-dimensional modeling of die was generated. The key points of the automobile body panel die were indicated. For the drawing die, the design emphasis is the layout of the guide plates and the pressure regulating pad and the backing pad. For the trimming die, the design emphasis is the design of the die inserts and the layout of the scrap cutters. For the flanging die, the design emphasis is the layout of the ejector parts.
