Abstract:

The deep drawing process of cylindrical part with flange was simulated by taking a clutchcover as a researching object based on the software Dynaform. The distributions of strain and thickness thinning rate of drawn workpiece were obtained. The rationality of finite element model was verified by experiment. The influence of slide motion mode on forming quality was analyzed by comparing J31-315B conventional mechanical press with GP2S-servo press. It shows that comparing with the deep drawing with conventional mechanical press, the forming quality by staged drawing improves effectively and the risk of fracture decreases significantly.
