Abstract:

A new way of spinning for processing double conical parts was proposed and a 3D FE model of spinning for double conical parts was established based on the ABAQUS/Explicit platform. Combined with the metal plastic forming principle and the characteristic of spinning, the range of technical parameters, such as the angle of the roller forming surface, the radial feed speed of the roller, the spindle speed and the friction coefficient were determined. The distribution features of stress and strain fields of the double conical part spinning were obtained during the research,which provides the basis for studying the followup pass spinning of double conical parts and optimizing the technical parameters.
