Abstract:

The structural features of hydraulic press with integrated cylinder and beam (HPICB) was introduced compared to traditional three beam four pillars hydraulic press,whose advantages can be included as follows: the weight is evidently decreased because of abrogating upper beam,the area of hydraulic cylinder is enlarged 35 times, additionally, the semi\|spherical cylinder can support two times pressure compare to the traditional cylinder with same diameter and wall thickness. So the capacity of the HPICB can be enlarged 68 times than the traditional press with same contour. The HPICB presents a new way for manufacturing large capacity press over 10 MN.The main size of semi\|spherical cylinder for HPUCB from 50 MN to 900 MN was described.Finally,the possible application scope of HPUCB was summarized.
