Abstract：

The keys about a U-shaped folded plate bending die design were described. The blank was positioned relying on the moving die cavity, using the designed obliquity of the outer flap bottom and both sides of the punch to compensate blank springback angle. The die design refrences were described that the neutral plane centre of bending piece corner is the rotation center of die cavity; also the calculation method about the rotation center of the die cavity was introduced. So the U-shaped bending pieces dimension is accurate and the surface quality is high.
