Abstract:

During the bending process of four-roller bending machine, the curvature radius of the cylindrical part depends mainly on the displacement of the side roller. In the actual production process, the determination of the displacement of side rollers depends on the workers' experiences, needing repeated trials with certain blindness. A formula of the plate bending roll rebound radius during the four-roller bending process was derived based on the basic theory of elastic-plastic mechanics. A calculation of the side roller displacement was presented through mathematics-mechanical analysis to guide the production. Based on this, the whole calculation process was realized with VC++ programming. The similarity of proposed calculation and experimental results was verified compared with examples and experimental results. Based on the formula, the side roller displacement can be more accurate through a few experimental bending processes.
