Abstract:

Based on rigid and plastic FEM, magnesium alloy bike crank isothermal closed-die forging was simulated , the metal flowing rule in the bike crank forming process was revealed, and the characteristics of velocity field and curve of distance -load was analyzed. The process of the forging could be expressed in four stages of bending deformation, compressing deformation, die filling deformation and finish-forging deformation. Different temperatures and speeds influenced the process of magnesium alloy forging was studied,and magnesium alloy bike crank isothermal closed-die forging was suitable to be done at 3mm·s-1 of punch in 350 ℃ isothermal environment.
