Abstract:

Under the conditions with or without deformation-induced heating, the numerical simulation analysis of cold-forging precision forming process was conducted for the cylindrical spur gear using rigid-plastic finite element method, and the simulation of the elastic expansion of the die and the elastic recovery of the gear after die unloading were completed. The results of the simulation indicate that deformation-induced heating and heat transfer have a huge impact on the accuracy of gear. The expansion coefficient and elastic modulus are different under the different temperatures. under the condition with deformation-induced heating, the forming force decreases to a certain extent and the quantity of expansion for the die and the elastic recovery of gear increase.
