Abstract：

Five-station cold forming machine is an automated equipment which can straight the wire rod, feed and shear the wire rod , do five-station forming, and send out the finished parts by conveyor. The automatic control of the multi-station cold forming machine equipped with PLC and touch screen was presented by analyzing the machine work flow. PLC was used in the control system, and it improved the reliability and flexibility greatly. The operation is more stabile. Touch screen was used in the operating system. It is visual and the operation is easy，which offers convenient condition for equipment maintenance and adjustment.
