Abstract:

2A12 sheet metal was employed as the experimental material, used maximum wall angle as a formability representative, the variation in the process parameters affecting the formability in single point incremental forming was investigated. The process parameters affecting the formability were studied, such as tool radius, step size, federate and spindle speed. Sheet metal forming limit in single\|point incremental forming was studied based on orthogonal design. The experiment results show that step size in the forming process has a considerable influence, and the others in sequence are the feeding rate, spindle speed and tool radius.
