Abstract:

 The differences of riveting quality between pneumatic riveting and electromagnetic riveting (EMR) were compared by experiments including interference quantity uniformity,shear and pull-off strength of the riveting. The results show that the interference of the riveting pieces using EMR is more even, and the quality of rivets tail is stable and uneasy affected by anthropic principle;the shear and pull-off strength of riveting pieces are much better compared with the pneumatic riveting method.
