Abstract:

Die forging process and the corresponding tool design are a process of experience accumulation and knowledge integration. Based on the theory of knowledge engineering, with the support of open knowledge base, knowledge management system and knowledge-based reasoning, a knowledge-based system aiming at forging process and tool design was built. The system was developed based on Unigraphics NX platform using mixed mode. With friendly access to the existing knowledge and experience during the process design and tool design, the efficiency, application and stability of the system can be highly improved.
