Abstract:

Thin-wall rectangular tube is a key component widely used in the field of radar and radio communication system. Springback is one of the main factors affecting the forming precision of thin-wall rectangular tube in rotary-bending process. The springback of thin-wall rectangular tube is decided by the final stress-strain state of tube. Therefore, the stress-strain distribution laws of the bending part in the process of bending were studied using the finite element simulation method combined with experiment. The results show that the stress decreases obviously after retracting mandrel and springback, while the strain of the tube is nearly not changed. And it's found that the process of retracting mandrel is beneficial to decreasing the springback.
