Abstract:

The current forming process of 60AT rail was described, and the new process was simulated by using Deform, whose operation of forming is automatic completely under high temperature. The results show that the final cavity shape is rational by comparing shape of different workpieces after simulation. Then the new forming process was simulated again with the new mold model. And the thermal molding process of 60AT rail was determined through analysis of metal flowing pattern, and its distribution of stress, strain and temperature.
