Abstract:

Fe-C-Cr alloys with 1.4wt.% Carbon and 15wt.% chromium content were annealed. OM, SEM, and XRD were used to analyze the MMG\|5 friction and wear experiment results. It was revealed that as-cast high-chromium steel was composed of primary austenite dendrites and (Fe,Cr)7C3, (Fe,Cr)23C6 carbides. In the condition of constant speed, the friction coefficient kept reducing as the load increasing. Moreover, the decreasing trend seemed to be obvious in the low load. While in the high load, it seemed gentle.
