Abstract:

Based on the platform ABAQUS, a 3-D FEM model of conical ring with outer steps ring rolling process was developed to investigate the rings deformation behavior. According to the characteristic of the cross-section, key points were selected to study the equivalent plastic strain changing of the ring. Further research indicates that the average equivalent plastic strain decreases with the idle feed velocity being increased and the driver roll rotational speed being decreased.
