Abstract:

Quasi-static and dynamic tensile tests were conducted on a martensite high strength steel, and the stress-strain relationships in different strain rates were studied. The strain rate constant C was determined in the Johnson-Cook constitutive model, which considered the strain rate effect. The fracture strains obtained from different loading tests were compared. The results show that strain rate has little influence on the fracture, the fracture increases with the stress triaxiality increases. The parameters of the Johnson-Cook damage criteria were determined, which considered the stress triaxiality. The parameters of Johnson-Cook constitutive and damage criteria were applied to the simulation in ABAQUS. The simulation results agreed with the test data, which show that the constitutive and fracture model are correct.
