Abstract:

The research was done for bending properties of 6 mm Weldox 960 steel with 100 t single pillar oil hydraulic press. Optimization for bending technology was finished by setting soft metal cushioning pad. The optimization was compared with old design, and bending springback, crack and deflection were studied in different radius of marking dies. The results indicate that increase of marking die radius to 1525 mm or setting cushioning pad can reduce the longitudinal crack of Weldox 960 steel when bending.
