Abstract:

In order to solve the problem of impact, vibration and cracks appearing on the U-type frame, a solid model of C92K-125 hydraulic forging hammer was built. The constraints and motion were added to the model, and a simulation of kinematics was done. The interference between each part was checked and practicability of the mechanism was proved. Based on the geometry model of forging hammer and its working situation, a nonlinear multi-body FEM of forging hammer composed of only hexahedron elements was built, submitted to LS-DYNA solver to obtain the distribution of stress and strain on the parts of the hammer and provide a basis for structural optimal design of hydraulic forging hammer, accuracy control of energy and temperature in forging process.
