Abstract:

In the actual bending process, if the sheet metal has initial residual stress (shape defects), the residual stress will superimpose with the bending stress and then has some impact on sheet metals stamping deformation and springback. The stamping deformation and springback law under different intial residual stress peak values and thicknesses were researched based on finite element software ABAQUS. The research shows that along width direction of the sheet metal, both stamping deformation and springback at the position of different residual stress are nonuniform, and this nonuniform is increasingly obvious with the increase of the initial residual stress peak value and the decrease of thickness.
