Abstract:

By analysis of the structure of the support frame, the layouts of multi-position progressive die were studied and different layouts and carrying forms were compared. Provided that the complexity of the die and the difficulty of die processing would not be increased, the oblique layout and the two-side carrier with unequal side width were finally applied to design a set of multi-position progressive punch and bending die, with 3% increase of material utilization ratio in comparison to the usuallyused breadthwise layout. The die run well in production, the products satisfied the requirement of customers fully, and the enterprise`s production cost was reduced.
