Abstract:

In order to improve the tracking accuracy for given speed curve and anti-jamming capability for system in process of isothermal extrusion, the causes of the pressure pulsations in throttle cylinder were analyzed and a double-loop control system was designed with the fuzzy PID controller controlling the throttle valve port opening while DMC controller controlling the extrusion speed. The control performance comparing with the conventional PID controller was done. It shows by simulations that closed-loop cascade control system not only ensures the tracking of the given speed curve accuracy, but also has a strong anti-jamming capability. Therefore, DMC-fuzzy PID closed-loop cascade control system is a suitable control system to improve product quality and production efficiency.
