Abstract:

There exist lots of problems in traditional cold roll forming design methods, such as inefficient and poor quality. By analyzing the meaning, principles, characteristics and current research trends of reverse engineering, a theory of cold roll forming roll design based on reverse engineering technology was proposed,Taking a complex crosssection coldformed steel roll for example, the parts deformation process of cold roll forming was researded, and the roll was designed with CAD. The determination methods of the rollers arranged in the molding process and the roll size were considered and the design efficiency and quality were improved.
