Abstract:

Through analysis of the operation principle and features for roll forging machine, a three dimensional model of roll forging machine was built. Based on linear elastic and contact analysis method, the integral finite element analysis method was applied for the working part of self-developped 1250mm roll forging machine. Comprehensively considering the deformation of the rack and roll, the displacement distribution of roll in roll forging process was obtained, and the maximum deformation of the third pass is the biggest with value of 1.7269mm. The whole stiffness of roll forging machine was calculated, compared with working stiffness of metal forming machinery and the stiffness meets the requirements.
