Abstract:

Based on LabVIEW, combined with tube hydroforming technology characteristics, a measurement and control system for tube hydraulic forming was developed. Using industrial personal computer as upper computer, PLC as lower computer, the upper-lower computer's communication was completed by OPC Servers, which realized data acquisition from forming equipment, process control for tube hydraulic forming, and also integrated curve display and data storage function. Experimental results show that the expected goals can achieve by this measurement and control system with acquisition data basically the same with the set date, stable process and uniform thickness parts. The method has merits of good software interface, reliability, expandability and so on.
