Abstract:

The proper design of ram speed plays a crucial role in the isothermal extrusion process of ZK60 magnesium alloy thin-wall rectangular tube. The influence law of ram speed on the temperature of thin-walled rectangular tube was investigated and revealed by comprehensive numerical simulations under the Deform-3D software environment combined with Pro/E software. And the temperature range for the isothermal extrusion process of ZK60 magnesium alloy thin-walled rectangular tube was proposed, and the ram speed was deterimined. Finally, the correctness of the optimized results and FE model were verified by experiments.
