Abstract:

The warm upsetting for titanium alloy self-locking nut was experimentally researched. Aim to the  question that the hexagonal edges of nut were difficult to form,through studying the structure and material and simulating the forming situation and loads with Deform,the technology of titanium alloy self-locking nut formed by floating-die was proposed. And then the motion model and friction distribution of floating-die were analyzed in the metal forming by comparative analyzing the fixed-die.Finally, it was contrasted and proved that the technology is feasible with the actual production, meanwhile the metallurgical structure and overheated structure of titanium alloy in warm precision-forming of hexagonal nuts were investigated.The precision forming of titanium alloy nut is realized,which improves the production efficiency and saves the material.
