Abstract:

 Non-uniform slender axle must be straightened before being used because it usually gets ellipse, bending and other defects in the process of fabrication because of the stiffness difference, stress concentration and some other reasons. According to the elastic-plastic bending theory, the relationship was deduced between bending deflection and bending moment, energy consumption when the work-hardening effect is under consideration. The mathematics modeling was performed after optimizing the related straightening parameters with the help of the MATLAB genetic algorithm toolbox. Based on the finite element analysis software MARC, some simulation analyses were conducted. In the end, the distribution of inner residual stress, roundness and straightness of straightening parts under three straightening speeds in postprocessing were contrastive analyzed,and then the rule of influence of straightening speed on straightening accuracy was found out.
