Abstract:

On the basis of forming analysis about the no-flanged spherical-bottomed cylindrical parts, the stress model was established and the differential equations was got at the spherical-bottomed regional. By the stress analysis of ball bottom area, the blank holder force, die corner radius, friction coefficient, etc., which were important affecting factors for forming limit of spherical-bottomed cylindrical parts, were determined. According to the forming program, firstly, the forming numerical simulation was finished, and the effect of blank holder force, die corner radius, friction coefficient on the thinning rate and lug value of spherical-bottomed cylindrical parts were determined by the comprehensive analysis of simulation results. Then, through experimental verification, the processing optimization without trimming  process during no-flanged spherical-bottomed cylindrical parts forming was realized. The results show that the die radius is smaller,the controlling effect of ball bottom wrinkle is better, and reducing friction coefficient can effectively reduce the size of lug.
