Abstract:

The influence regularities of shot peening forming mechanism, shot size, jet shot speed, shot flow rate, feed speed and other important parameters on the formed curvature radius were introduced. A relationship between shot peening forming technological parameters and formed curvature radius was established by setting up the calculation model of the coverage rate and the moment equation of plate deformation as well as the expression of relationship between shot kinetic energy and the deformation energy of plate based on the energy theory. The shot peening forming experiment of plate was conducted using the variable technological parameters of feed speed and shot jet pressure with Φ3.18 mm shot diameter. Experimental result shows that the calculated result is in agree with the experimental result.
