Abstract:

Performed and final formed parts of DP590 steel with different backward-bulging pre-deformations were obtained by backward-bulging and HDD including three stages of backward-bulging,flatting and hydrodynamic forming, and the influence of backward -bulging on wall thickness and strain of HDD parts was studied. The results show that the height of pre-bulging has a limitation in complex curved surface part. When it exceeds its limit value, the fold defect occurs to prevent the backward-bulging value from increasing. Method of back-bulging and HDD has a certain strengthen effect on the bottom of complex curved surface part compared with normal HDD. The thinning rate of the thickness increases by 2% and the equivalent strain increases by 0.03 when the relative pre-bulging height is up to 16%. Furthermore, pre-bulging height increases with the enlarging of bottom deformation, and it has little effects on the deformation of straight wall.
