Abstract:

According to the crankshaft forging production, the optimization on four-cylinder crankshaft forging process chain was researched with billet quality, forging temperature and coefficient of friction as optimization parameters. The optimization objective includes forging energy consumption, production costs and forging time. Three optimization cases were designed in order to compare with the initial case. Based on finite element simulation, the influence of the three parameters on crankshaft forging process was analyzed by the Deform-3D software. The results show that the optimized quality billet and coefficient of friction can reduce forging temperature, forming load and die wear, but lower forging temperature receives the opposite effect. Finally, the influence of nine parameters on forging energy consumption, production costs and time are analyzed based on event-driven simulation, and the maximum impact on the three targets is the billet size.
