Abstract:
In order to meet the requirements of rapid reconfigurable design, an approach of parametric components based on SolidWorks was presented by combining with the existing design method. The designing process and technical approach were also elaborated. The gear transmission mechanism of crank press was selected as a practical example to study the major part, including the establishment of parametric component template, the classification of parameters and the addition of equation, using the approach of parametric components and combining with the secondary development technology. The parametric model for gear transmission mechanism was established based on SolidWorks and the design information was integrated into component model. Thus, the model could change and update based on design requirement automatically. At last, the fast changes in function structure are implemented, and the goals for shortening the designing period and improving the work efficiency are achieved by this approach at the same time.
