Abstract:

To study the reason of collapse angle formed in fine-blanking spur gear, the characteristics of material flow in the tooth top and tooth root of the spur gear were analyzed by finite element simulation and grid experiment. The influences of the counterforce, bypass reducing pressure chamber and outer ring filling rate on the forming collapse angle in the process of the closed-extruding fine-blanking were investigated. The result shows that the unevenness of the material flow caused by friction results in the occurrence of collapse angle. The collapse angle height is inversely proportional to the counterforce and the outer ring filling rate, and is proportional to the bypass reducing pressure chamber. Therefore, to increase counterforce and the outer ring filling rate, and to decrease the size of the bypass reducing pressure chamber can reduce the collapse angle height effectively in the process of closed-extruding fine-blanking spur gear.
