Nowadays the quantity in application fields and demand of NCu30-3-0.5 alloy forgings in China are increasing, but the standard specification for them is relatively deficient, so there are many disadvantages on some aspects of forgings such as production, import and export trade, and so on. Consequently, the United States standard ASTM B 865-04 was modified and adopted, and combining the reality and current level of forging industry, the national standard 《NCu30-3-0.5 alloy forgings》was prepared. The standard specification for NCu30-3-0.5 alloy forgings with multi shapes and dimensions covers chemical composition, mechanical properties, dimensions and permissible variations, workmanship, sampling, tests, rejection, rehearing, certification, and product marking. The quality of NCu30-3-0.5 alloy forgings manufactured according to the standard specification reaches international advanced level.
