Abstract:

The simulations of the different die fillet radius for cold upset-extruding by Deform were done in order to analyze the effect of stroke-load, effective stress, effective strain and rate of flow. Through 64 groups of simulation data of upset-extruding, it can be shown that as for the commutator blocks extrusion forming, the forming load shall be minimum when the upper die fillet R1 is 3 mm, R2 is 0mm, and the die top fillet R3 is 3 mm.
