Abstract:

Based on Archard's model, the die wear model of hot rotary forging for auto semi axle was built. The once-wear depth of die in hot rotary forging process was analyzed by the software of Deform-3D, and the distributing regularity of the wear depth was obtained. The result shows that the strenuous wear area is between the flange step and the transition radius area of cylinder-shaped die, and the once-wear depth declines quickly with the increasing of hardness and the decreasing of friction factor. Therefore, improving the surface hardness of die and coating the lubricant on the die surface are effective method to prevent wear and prolong die life.
