Abstract:
A large-scale multi-position progressive die was designed, and the problems of the process and assembly were solved by splitting the 2000 mm long template. The overall structure was applied to the manufacture of the upper template and lower template, and at the same time the segmented collage structure was applied to the manufacture of the upper backup plate,punch holding plate,stripper,die template and the lower backup plate. Especially the insert structure was used in the die template, which had the advantages of saving the die steel costs, processing insert block expediently, controlling and adjusting the clearance of punch and blanking die easily, high precision and longer life etc. At the same time,the stress concentration was avoided so as to eliminate or reduce heat treatment deformation and cracking. Furthermore, it was easy to repair and replace the damaged or excessively worn parts. Therefore, the life of the die was prolonged and the cost of die was reduced.
