Abstract:

The influence of fluid compressibility on high pressure and high flow hydraulic system design for forging equipment was discussed, and it was obtained that the real required flow in the hydraulic system during forging process was bigger than the flow needed during idle process, the difference value was up to more than 30%. Furthermore, according to the analysis on the influence of fluid compressibility on impact load, the linear relationship between flow and time going through fixed orifice was obtained in order to choose decompress valve diameter. For the high pressure and high flow hydraulic system, three different cylinder speed control methods were analyzed on inlet throttle, outlet throttle and relief throttle, and the influences of different control methods on energy consumption, control accuracy and cost were expounded.
