Abstract:

 The stamping process of a heavy truck middle-floor was simulated by finite element analysis technology software Dynaform, and some stamping defects were predicted accurately. To eliminate the stamping forming defects of crack and wrinkle in the middle-floor, the method of increasing convex beads with different sizes and directions on product surface was proposed based on CAE analysis according to simulation results. Then, a new “曰” type blank holder stamping process and die structure plan were determined, and stamping forming defects in all products were eliminated effectively. The tryout results show that the feasibility of the finite element analysis on stamping process is proved. Thus, by adopting the new stamping process, the die development cost is reduced, and the die tryout period is shortened, as well as the forming quality of the floor product is guaranteed.
