Abstract:

For the problems of cracks produced easily in the brake pressing process by the brake die, a relatively large noise produced by punching notch and the complicated process of drilling position hole for 2A12 aluminum alloy sheet frame parts, the forming technology of parts was improved from the aspects of sheet metal forming and die design. The technology schemes were put forward by taking bending machine to bend sheet metal instead of brake die to brake press sheet metal, and taking the notch punched to fix the position of part instead of drilling holes on the two sides of sheet frame part. Therefore, the structure of notch blanking die was improved, and the die was designed as both sides with 50° and 3° oblique edges. Furthermore, the design process of die was described from the aspects of blanking force calculation, die structure, die working principle and main parts of die design. At last, the die to punch the two-side notches of sheet frame at the same time was designed. The results show that cracks do not appear by bending the sheet metal using bending machine, the sheet frame part is accurately positioned by the notch punched, and the punching noise is reduced by the die with oblique edge. Thus, the design of notch blanking die can produce qualified parts and improve the efficiency of punching notch.
