Abstract:

The vibration adding in metal plastic forming can effectively reduce the deformation resistance of material and improve the quality of products. Thus, for the thinwall copper tube floating plug drawing, the influence of vibration on the drawing force of copper tube in the drawing process was analyzed, and different process parameters (drawing speed, external mold angle and cone angle) were simulated by the finite element analysis software MARC. The result shows that based on this model, the best parameter combination with the half cone angle of external die of 12°and the plug cone angle of 9°exists. Thus, the drawing force in the floating plug vibration drawing process of thinwalled copper tube is the minimum, and the influence of drawing speed on the drawing force is smaller.
